UNILAG postpones Matric CEREMONY

Faith Ojo The University of Lagos has postponed her Matriculation ceremony for newly admitted students for the 2020/2021 Academic session. The school made this known through her Communication Unit in the early hours of today. The ceremony, earlier slated to hold Friday, January 14, 2022, has now been postponed to Friday, January 28th, 2022.  " This is to inform members of the public and particularly parents and guardians of newly admitted students for the 2020/2021 Academic session that the Matriculation Ceremony slated for Friday, January 14, 2022, has been postponed. The ceremony will now hold on Friday, January 28, 2022. Management regrets any inconvenience the postponement may have caused.", the statement read. .

52nd Convocation: UNILAG announces schedule

By Andrea Umogbai and Seyifunmi Soremekun  The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has released the schedule for her 52nd convocation ceremonies slated to hold from Friday, January 14th to January 21st, 2022.  The school management disclosed this on Tuesday at a pre-convocation press conference held at the Senate Chambers in the University. Making the announcement to members of the press, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe disclosed that the ceremonies will commence on Friday, January 14th, with a Jumat service at the University's central mosque. A Thanksgiving service would hold at the Chapel of Christ our Light on Sunday, January 16th at 9:30am. Speaking further, he said, "The  convocation ceremony will officially begin  Monday,  January 17th 2022, with an  exhibition at the Senate House car park opposite J.F.   Faith Ojo, Faith Enang and Famose Blessing The Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Professor Olufunke Adeboye has touted the Center of Digital Humanities as part of the faculty's scheme to familiarize her students with technological innovations around the world. She made this statement during an interview with UNILAG Sun reporters last week. “The Center for digital humanities was organized for graduate students and senior undergraduates to help them appreciate the world of digitization”, she said.  Adeboye stressed the establishment of the centre as part of the faculty's contribution to preparing her students to adapt to the new digital world.  She continued by saying that digitization does not apply only to sciences but also to humanities and all other courses. Momodu, Animashaun others set to facilitate Unilag Business school new programme

The awards ceremony was designed to celebrate students who have demonstrated excellence in different facets of school life during the course of the 2019/20 session. The night was a big one for Paul Agada and Favour Olusola, both editors of the UNILAG SUN, as they bagged three awards each, thereby making them the students with the highest number of awards at the event. Abiola Ogunleye and Faith Enang who are also editors of the UNILAG SUN were honoured with awards as Journalist of the Year and Most Value-Driven Student respectively.
